This was the very first annotated Boiler List. My illustrations of all the boilers I knew began with six models, but this picture with 25 (excepting color variants - at this point I'd not drawn all colors but only noted "Also in [color]" where applicable) was the first one intended to be a guide of sorts. Compare this with the ever-growing current list, in which all boilers are grouped by method of operation, and which currently has 77 boilers plus handboilers and liquid hourglasses.
