Oh my gosh... higher than 70f ... ugh.

Can you not use a lower wattage bulb ?

Lucky I live in a temperate zone... thanks to the gulf stream !!!

Some times a fan in the room will move enough air to run lamps.

Sorry to hear that Ian, I had a friend on the 3rd floor of his house too and I will never forget the oven that place was. It seemed to attract EVERY MOTH IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD too!

I live with my parents, and they refuse to run the ac in the summer. It gets up to 88 degrees in my bedroom, where all of my lamps are, so I can't run them in the summer either. I can at night occasionally cause we open the doors and windows, but I don't run any of my good ones. Our house is 3 stories tall, and my room is on the top floor, so all the heat rises to my room.

i lived in a house with an evaporative cooling system at one time, so i know what you mean.  when it gets cold though, it gets ice cold!

Lucky man Brad! My house runs a swamper so the giants will just heat the already muggy coolant, haha. I will be on my small lamps for a little while I believe but that is cool

dang the heat.  my office was on the second floor in our old duplex and it got to be 85*F up there with 10 lamps and my PC on in the summer time.  a/c was set to 74*F.  now my office is in the basement of our house and i can run them year-round without a sweat.
