Creative Motion Ecstasy Lamp

The base arrived cracked so I had to do some glueing. Due to the 3 bulbs behind the disc this thing kicks off a lot of heat.

If I see any more of these I will try to buy them. I found this one on the 'bay last year for $40 but I'm pretty sure they were closer to $129 when they were new at Spencer's. The clear plastic base was cracked when it arrived but I spent some time using clear epoxy and now the base holds up the disc well. You can't really see the base from the front but give me an hour or so and I'll take better pics of the entire thing. The base houses a small motor with a rubberized wheel and two other support wheels - on the inside of the disc is a groove where those wheels fit. Call me crazy but I'm pretty sure that sometimes this thing turns clockwise and sometimes it turns counter-clockwise.
