Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

The one on the left is a 1973 Century. On the right, Jonas, you say a mid 60s Century with copper base. I attempted to filter the one on the left and got it super clear, but now the wax is sticking to the sides of the globe (it didn't before). I am NOT ever touching the one on the right! The one on the right did indeed come with a box and sticker that denote model 104 (blue/yellow).

Could this be one? (Base stamped JUL 71, sticker in globe June 1971)

Well now *I'm* impressed. I'd really like to get the one on the left fixed. Any ideas Jonas? Since my filter of the one on the left, it won't flow properly and wax is stuck to the globe around the bottom. It had neither of these problems before the filter. Did I filter out some of the surfactant?

And, who has the 3rd one of these? Why are they green if the box says blue?

Not only do you have a very rare color, but you have two of the three known to exist, AND you have one from the mid-60s, and another from the early-70s, showing color differences! I am extremely impressed.

Any particular kind of soap Matt?

One tiny half drop of soap should stop the sticking wax.

Very nice score. Too bad about the one on the left.
