Mine has also detached from the coil three times, Brad.   It happens when all the wax migrates to the top and stays, and sticks.....oh well.   I might try a hotter bulb.  Can't hurt it anymore than it already is hurt.

BTW, There are no bubbles in the wax now.   Last night on the first run there was, but not now.

mine looks exactly the same, libby.  lots of bubbles in the wax as well.

No offense taken, Trev.   I agree.  Not happy at all with this lamp.   It's stuck solid now.
