Yes Critter, the flow was and could still be amazing. The 60 watt bulb it takes can be found but runs a pretty penny, almost $20 for 1! I have tried running it on a 40 without a rewire and the goo just does not want to float to the top, stops about halfway. It also runs a course where the wax becomes mostly melted but cools easy. It will just spike constantly while folding in on itself trapping air bubbles, it is a weird one. One day I might do the rewire like lala did on hers.
I've kind of wanted one of these, but harder to find now. Flow was pretty good?
HAHA!! I'd say it came out about right ;)
I may do a rewire too, it works well for you on the 40?
it is a great lamp and don't want to leave it in the dark. That 60w is available but I don't want to shell out on it right now.
LMAO !!! THAT MADE ME ACTUALLY LAUGH THIS MORNING!
NO ONE Puts China in the corner, right Joanne!
I agree with you Jim, it did run incredible and probably still would. The bulb is a rarity, Gwen found one but the shipping on it kinda kills it. I can vouch, the thing WILL topple easy. I had people over one night with it on, one of them decided to try and see the future in it and almost knocked it over by playing wizard/fortune teller, look up and see it tipping over as they reached out and grabbed it right around a 45 degree tilt. Nearly went full Hulk on them.
I had to part with this lamp. Quite liked the flow on it, but the glass seemed so thin and I had fears one of our unruly pets would knock it over and create a God awful mess.
awww its pouting
