You used to be able to get them at ThinkGeek.com but it looks like they only carry the cube now. Might find either version on ebay though. Manufacturer site sells them built or as a D.I.Y. kit but probably save some bucks on an auction if available, both of them are fantastic time wasters!

It is pretty cool! My dad was a crazy man when it came to quirky lights and interesting gadgets mom still is from time to time. Garage treasures, couple of those cast iron motion lamps, old Mattel handheld electronic games, rather tacky swag lamps, some cool though, hah, Magic WIndows.

Our long time family friends have Fantasias I believe and those motion clocks that have a rotating color wheel behind painted patterns on plexi or glass, I think one is a promo for Dr. Pepper if I remember correctly. Pinballs... Maybe they will hand out an oddity... AHAHA

Isn't it nice to have a moms that's into specialty lighting!!!  Haaa!!!  My 16 year old son is sooo funny.  2 lava's in his room so far.  The awesome blue kit that I just did for him that THANK YOU, I WANT, lol!!  and his neon green china and he is like "mom, I want to get rid of that stupid car lamp and put another lava there".  Can you make me one??  lololol!!!  So far he's not really into any other lighting and wasn't real impressed with my fiber optic rose or the splendid fantasia's I've shown him on the computer so who knows, but he certainly has been bitten by the lava bug!!!  That bus reminds me of the Partridge Family van, haaa haaa.......I've always wanted a 1970''s beatle Volkswagon........the new ones are nice, especially the color options, but I luv the old style beatle!!!!

It is an O.G. V-Dub Bus Carol!  In decent shape too, could use a little refreshing of the paint. There are a couple nice vintage cars on my block. Two houses down from me the guy has an off-white Ford Galaxy, guessing it is a 65 based on its backend and pairs it with a burgundy Ford panel van, I would wild guess it to be a 37'ish. Both cars look showroom when I see them moved to the street from the garage.

I agree analog, I enjoy both of them as well and they each have strong points. The cube is just awesome for the depth of vision and overall display where the cube can pull some pretty sweet color tricks as well as visualizing objects like chasing spheres or fireflies.

I had received the cube as a Christmas gift a couple years ago, mom saw it and bought one herself. She went nuts with hers as it had one faulty LED that was off color with the rest of the show, drove her crazy, gave it to my brother. Then she bought the square and watched it for a while, gave it to me saying that she was starting to figure its show out and it was becoming obsessive to watch so she decided to let it go to me, win/win for bro and I

I thought I remember something similar to that being around a while back.  Maybe I'm thinking of something else......or it is a revamping of something.  They are nice though.

I have both the square and cube. Both super cool. Pics do not do justice. Those have only been around for a few years.
