That's weird indeed. I would have asked which brand Step-Up Converter you're working with, but I see that you're from the UK, and thus wouldn't need one. Maybe if you add a surge protector to your outlet you'll be better protected, unless those bulbs really are defective.

Cool but my one lasted 15 minutes before the bulb went. Not impressed considering another recent Astro purchase only gave me about three days off and on of usage before the bulb went. What is wrong with these bulbs?
