French "Continentals" - glitter and lava

These have both been refurbed. They are both from overseas (France, I think). The one on the left doesn't have the black metal bottom and top, the one on the right does. Left has been refilled with Loren's glitter, right with a US-made Lava Lite 03.

Comment by Scott on August 24, 2018 at 11:05pm: I have a very similar French lava lamp. It needs to be rewired. Could you please tell me what size and watt bulb you have in your French lava? Mine was retrofitted from the original European wiring but that failed and now I’m going to make it US wiring. The old wiring worked but it took over an hour to heat up and was REALLY hot.
