50th Anniversary Lamp - faded to GOLD after only ten days.

This is a 50th Anniversary lamp that when purchased turned GOLD only after ten days. It appears in photo more orange but's it's a really sharp looking Amber/Gold color when lit at night. I was given a replacement globe for the lamp that also turned gold. COINCIDENCE? LavaLite was celebrating 50 years and GOLD is the mineral that represents 50th Anniversary Any thoughts or did anyone else experience the same fade? I took these pictures when I first purchased the lamps.
