The only one I've ever found.....not perhaps a lava lamp but....
A reservoir of bubbles is in the tube at one end.
Tip it over and bubbles slowly start to ooze from the reservoir and climb up the tube.
When it's all done, flip the tube over and start again!
Not powered by electricity but by gravity.
