Heavy? I have a few globes this size (some slightly bigger) they are not too heavy at all. Have you ever had to deal with a Lava Lite Humungo or Colossus globe? Now they’re heavy....more than twice the weight of the 30” x 8” globe used in Marcel’s lamps.

The wax flow in your second globe looks really nice too!
