Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Thanks to Chow for the base/cap, plus a spare #13 globe I had laying around, I've finally filled another hole in my collection. First shot flash, second shot no flash. (One day, I really need to figure out how to accurately photograph lava in one shot.)

It's called a Retro Haze and, according to the Lava Library, it ranks a 7 out of 10 on the rarity scale. (Click here.) It seems to have been done with the same process that created the Swirl lamps, but they changed something to create this particular look. That's really all I know, but there are experts here who can probably shed more light on this model.

So the base SWRIL is a lamp that was actually produced ? That's a cool very rare lamp I bet ?

The Haze swirl is such a cool lamp. Very hard to come by. I like the one with no flash, it really shows off the color of the lava. Just turn up the ISO a bit to brighten base and cap without the flash. Make sure you have enough light on it.
