Cloudy lava lite & squashed base

Iv'e had american lava lamps just as cloudy as this recover by cycling it very often on a timer.

The china formula does not recover. 

However if this has a dented base, it shows that it was mishandled, probably in shipping,  and it should be returned from where it was purchased. There is no need to absorb the cost of a damaged product.
