The cap was pretty easy once I sat down to work on it. Took some time, but the process wasn't difficult. The gold coloring on the base is beginning to fade, I wish I knew a way to recolor that part. I could disassemble it and have it re-anodized, but I'd lose all the labels and it would cost more than it's worth. I just have to wonder if there is a DIY method that could work.
Just wanted to congratulate you on an amazing restoration job. The work on the cap alone was flawless - thanks for sharing the step-by-step process.
