Comment by Jonas Clark-Elliott on August 25, 2019 at 1:24am: Plants not original. Wax, yes. In the 1970s, "green lava/blue liquid" used a cream-colored wax. With time, the liquid would turn clear, and the wax would darken, ending up anywhere from 'cafe au lait' all the way to 'root beer.' If you like, open it carefully and add a bit of liquid (NOT gel) food color. I suggest a mix of blue and a little green-- get a long skewer and mix thoroughly after each drop of color to make sure it looks right. While the lamp is cool, of course.
