Mathmos Heritage Astros - Prior to Conversion

The plum lava just doesn't flow. I had installed 110V bulbs in these after bringing them back from England. I turned these on at the same time, but the plum/black just domes with an occasional blob after hours. I tried swapping globes and had the same result, so it is definitely a formula difference. After several days, I decided to try to modify the gold lamp with a common US socket from Lowes.
