Thanks VOXul, it does have a few light surface marks commensurate with the age and in no way distracts from the beauty of this lamp... as they say on ebay... lol.

Christian... Thanks, I thought it had the wrong size bulb and was going to replace it with a golf ball.

Astralav... I know what you mean. It was easy removing the bulb to take a look at the lamp holder, to replace it I inverted the base and positioned the bulb from underneath to save dropping it in and risk breaking the filament  :)

Yes, I had a Telstar with a big bayonet socket too. I had to ask my wife to put the bulb in it, I couldn't get my hand inside with the bulb :-) .

Hi Aladdin, my Telstar copper has the large bayonet too! The reason: the base is to tall for the small bayonet with a small bulb! The distance from the bulb to the globe would be to big, if Crestworth take a small fitting for the telstar.

On my Crestworths, I have large and small "bayonet" style bulb holders, and "screw" type too. So I guess it is normal. What is unusual is the lack of switch.
