Out from the dark, they return. Bit my lip pretty bad staying away from the givens.

The Magma Fountain was out for just a couple short years in the early 2000's (starting in 2002 I think). I believe they were short lived as most of them ran into an issue where the fluids would foam up after running the lamp for a while, this was not a fun light show.
My fountain still holds the original blend fluids from Laval Lite, I am a lucky one in that my fountain does not foam up at all, no matter how long I run it. It does have a slight crack towards the bottom of the vessel however, I don't think it goes all the way through the plastics OR it holds a good seal still. No fluid leaks from the crack nor has the crack changed color due to wicking the pink fluids into it. Based on its age I believe my lower fluid level is just the nature of the beast with evaporation...or it is in fact leaking slightly when I am not looking ;)
Thanks, Vox - the Magma Fountain is completely new to me, though obviously it was made a few years back (judging from the original posting date)
It looks to be a different kind of action from other lamps - I wonder why it isn't better known
Perhaps they didn't make too many? -
Anyway, a suitable rarity to sit alongside the majestic Pinky
Many thank ya's, Andy! We have to preserve these beauts as best we can, they are dwindling in number indeed!
The lamp behind it is a Hagerty Enterprises Lava Lite Magma Fountain in Pink/clear! I swapped the halogen over to an LED bulb which helps it dazzle better. Did not manage to get it in action with this shot but it does add to the 'splash' of the Pacifica when it goes off on that end of the vessel. A better shot of it can be seen here in its solo glory.
Glorious! Not too many Pacificas left around... such a beautiful lamp both in appearance and motion
May I ask what the lamp behind is, please? Good colour match, but don't recognise it...
Thank ya, thank ya, Arnie!
These two devices are part of the 'top shelf' in my collection, I put off rocking and rolling them for too long!
Wow, what a stunnig gigantic wave! absolutely desirable! I hope I ever manage to fill my vessel and build a base for it...I sincerly doubt it though ... Love this colour!!
