These have both been refurbed. They are both from overseas (France, I think). The one on the left doesn't have the black metal bottom and top, the one on the right does. Left has been refilled with Loren's glitter, right with a US-made Lava Lite 03.

I have a very similar French lava lamp. It needs to be rewired. Could you please tell me what size and watt bulb you have in your French lava? Mine was retrofitted from the original European wiring but that failed and now I’m going to make it US wiring. The old wiring worked but it took over an hour to heat up and was REALLY hot. Thanks for your time. Scott
I have a similar French oval, with a textured metal finish, and the contents are cloudy. I've been considering refilling. This makes me want to go white/blue! These are wonderfully futuristic.
Thanks everyone. :)
Dang you have some beautiful lamps!!!
Thanks Bill. :)
Very Nice Erin!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Keith. :)
Perfect color combination with the silver base. These are not lamps to just "put in" with other decor, they are lamps to build a display around and showcase them!
Thanks Libby and Kirk! Now, to sell or not to sell, that is the question...
Beautiful, Erin!! You did great.
