A brass white/blue Aristocrat is and has always been my ONE lamp for a dimly-lit (but not dark) 80s modern. No other lamp I've ever seen could look right in that sort of setting.

 

...except perhaps this one.

 

I think it would look great solo on an end table.

I agree! I've only run it once! I've just been out of the house since I got it. Can't wait to run it more this weekend.
