Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

It took me 7 years to find this large, rare, early model, Fantasia fiber optic lamp!
I bought it on Ebay last week on a late night BIN auction.
My Fantasia collection is finally complete now, unless I ever find some other rare/cool Fantasia model available that I have never seen before.

Anyone know the best place to get hold of a small (poss.15 watt) bayonet bulb for a Firefly?

Never heard of a Serena before.

Any idea what a Fantasia Serena is? Saw one on eBay a while back, label said Serena model, but was the same size as Sunburst. Chrome.

Killer collection! THREE Cosmos? Multiple Lunars, too!

Hey Christian,

You will want to use an ENL 50 watt 12 volt bulb for any of the large Fantasia lamps like the Sunburst, Regency, Solar1, or Cosmos.

Hi MileHigh, could you say me what is the correct bulb for a sunburst 4000, or have you an ebay link of the type?
Many thanks, Christian

OK Jonas, I may have gotten a little carried away when I said my Fantasia collection was complete -  lol

I am just very happy to have finally added a Regency to it!

"Rare models include the Love Light & Star Light (a little chrome cylinder with a glowing colored sideband-- has no motor inside-- I think Star Light is green, Love Light is pink), the Sprite (a cylinder on a black pedestal, in silver, brass, copper, burnt red or burnt green-- also has no motor), Ballerina (I think this may be a Sprite with a motor but no color wheel)"

No, I have seen some of these available for sale before but I am not really interested in any fiber optic lamps that neither rotate or change color.

"the Moderne (chrome Sprite with two-part cylinder, motor and wheel)"

Yes, we recently learned the name of that one.

the brass Love Bug (with textured sideband)

Yes, I thought it might be a Cuda until you told me.

some of the early models such as the Champagne (black bowl on trumpet-shaped pedestal), Celestial (same, but with white pedestal and black bowl, top is full sphere due to smoked plastic dome with knob on top), early pink-body Love Story (claimed to have pink fibers), and Olympic (a 66" tall floor-standing torchiere-type unit with flared black upper bowl).

No, I have only seen pictures of some of these lamps and never any of them available for sale.

If I do I would welcome the opportunity to add them to my collection.

Here are a couple quick pictures of the 33 fiber optic lamps I do have currently -

Cuda Galaxy - Omni - Comet ( wrapped in Mylar ) - Cuda Harmony ( silver ) - Tempo - Saturn - Alpha ( Gold ) - Love Bug ( Gold )

Cosmos - Cuda Saturn - Trophy - Moderne - Ecstacy - Love Story - Firefly - Centurion - Solar1
