This was taken in April and this globe is still covered with wax residue. Gonna have to soak some gasoline!

I have this same problem, I’ve dumped everything out and let the globe soak in kerosene for 24 hours, the dumped that out, scrubbed it with soap and hot water, dumped that out, let it dry, added more soap on the sides of the interior, let that dry a bit and added goo, let that set up and then put the water back in. Each time I do this it seems to get worse… now it looks like the picture… it bums me out greatly as this is a two piece copper based century…

Use kerosene instead. Same ability to dissolve wax with less volatility (chance to cause an explosion).
