This is a China lamp, it is not made by Mathmos, but it is still a cool lamp indeed!

Hi Simon,

there is a full gookit in this one, so it takes time to run. With the 100w bulb, a least 4 or 5 hours.

With the 75w UV bulb it can't run properly, not enough heat, and anyway not enough light to be interesting.

It looks far better with the regular bulb.

The color is white wax in clear liquid. (check this album to see it running with a normal bulb)

Hi Astralav

Is this bottle a custom refill? What colour is the wax / liquid when cold?

Have you tried heating it up on a normal bulb, then when it is flowing swap to the UV bulb?
