Vintage aquatic glitter

Temptation got the better of me and I took the plunge and bought this lamp. Pictures don't do it justice. It is absolutely STUNNING! The fast moving glitter sparkles through the graphics and it really dazzles.

It was first on eBay for $89 and nobody bought it. Then, it turned up on Etsy for $90, but I contacted the seller and was able to buy it at a much better price. At first I thought it might be an Asian market piece from the 80's, but upon close inspection the quality is far better than that and it could be Italian or French from the 70's. As I unpacked it, I was surprised to find that the base and cap were not silver as shown in the auction, they're a light copper color! At some point a previous owner switched out the Euro wiring and socket, so no re-wiring/converting was needed. The bottom of the base is wood which I'll stick a round piece of felt on later.
