CrunchyCanadian replied to Fin Crowe's discussion Why are some century / aristocrat plugs brown and others are black?
"In my experience most of the oldest model late 60s Centuries had white cords. Most 70s lamps have brown cords then later versions black. This is by no means a hard and fast rule as there are exceptions. 32 oz lamps are a different story (for…"

CrunchyCanadian replied to Frank Fielden's discussion Can anyone tell what year this aristocrat model lamp is from?
"Definitely looks like a 90s Aristocrat (1994?) The 70s aristocrats had brown cords and I don’t believe the 70s ones ever came in the blue/yellow liquid/lava combo. "

This rare fluorescent liquid early-70s Century #101 starts off green when cold (top left) - then spikes yellow (top right) - then as it heats turns red (bottom row) Cosmic!

"Erin is correct.  Also the fluid was not UV reactive.  I have two original 101’s, one even has the box so marked. "
