My First Lava Lamp was:: I have recently bought 2 lamps & they both seem broken. I'm looking for some advice on wether they are normal or need to be returned

Glad to see you found us. I have met many well informed people here. I too have had bad experiences with the newer formula. Best bet is to look for a lamp in a color combo you like that is pre-Chinese manufactured. They are all over eBay. Just be careful to ask if the liquid is cloudy or not. Happy hunting!
