- Its not a well known one. but.
It was a silver cylnderical base with a 2 foot high "globe" it was a locally made one. it was 12 inches round. had 4 light globes.
The person who made it was a close family friend he was a lathe operator all his life and he made the base and his son (glass maker person) made the globe.
it was filled with dyed paraffin that had some sort of kerosene mixed with it.. Rainwater. and a few drops of dish soap.
The coil in tthe bottom was an old spring of some discription.
It flowed like a mathmos too. it was sure a site to see
