Hi Mark. If it's the Comet i'm thinking of (Anodised Red base and cap with a flared base), yes they're pretty rare and sought after. I've seen a boxed example recently sell for £150 so that's a very good score on your part!  Yes and there's also a blue anodised version too which is also sought after. I have the gun metal grey one which is nice but not as pretty as the blue or the red. Amazingly I also scored a red one this year at a car boot sale. I paid even less than you!
