Dont forget, speak to Bohdan here (of add as a friend) also Jonas Goo too and other experts. These guys have the most incredible aray of lamps and technical expertise.
A nice story too. I hope you find a suitable lamp for your grandson, You mention wax and glitter combination?, that sounds unusual. Here in the UK we had a lamp called a glitterball (made by Mathmos) which combined lava and pieces of glitter in the actual wax - very pretty and a very slow flow. They were only available in green or blue colours as far as i'm aware and are very sought after now (no longer available). In the US, your best bet for advice would be Bohdan (a valued member here) amongst others who know far more about the lava world (US) products and lava lite too, a name which lava world is reverting back to. Check out Ebay too as there are stilll bargains to be had there and you can be more specific in your search there.
