Sorry, Tamara, I am behind on my email! I would just check the globe really well to make sure there are no cracks in it first. If there are, do not run it. If not, try turning it on and running it. It won't blow up. You didn't mention what kind of lamp this one is, which leaves me sort of at a loss. If there are any cracks whatsoever, ditch that globe.
Ask away, Tamara. I'm not an expert by any means, but there are many on this group who are. If I don't know, they will.....;-)
