Yes that is sad, if only there were more folks around like the guys here who know how to clean these old lamps up and give them a new lease of life!

Hi Judithellen, I can't speak for lava world (now reverted back to Lava Lite ) there in the US but it is possible to get replacement globes from Mathmos here in the UK but they are darned expensive. I normally get mine at car boot sales (like garage/yard sales only bigger!)
