- My First Lava Lamp was:
- It doesn't work very good. The lava flows for about 4 hours then it turns into a big blob and stays at the top. I bought this for my son, called the place i got it, they sent another one and it does the same thing. Is this how they all are?

Welcome to the Goo! Here's to hoping you meet a lot of nice people and learn a lot about the lamps we all know an love. In answer to your question above, no, they all behave differently and the older vintage lamps seem to be a lot more predictable and pleasing to the eye.
