i have a lava lamp from Spencer's and the lava just remains in a ball on the bottom of the lamp no matter how long i leave it on it stays in the ball on the bottom any ideas?

the coil is also stickin straight up, should i open the top fix it and add a different solution to it?

Also, your lamp isn't getting hot enough. Try a different bulb or return it to the store for another.
