Someone knocked something heavy on my 1989 Model 8100 (nominally 32oz -- I think it's called "Midnight" on this site) and the neck of the bottle broke off.I've reattached it with Loctite glass glue.…Continue

My First Lava Lamp was:: Model 8100 Nov 1989 (Midnight?), purchased in Brighton (Boston) MA 1989, Red/Yellow
(but I first saw one in a 5 & 10 store, c. 1968 -- my father, a physics tutor, explained the science.)
And my son recently broke it when my giant slide rule fell on it, and I've been trying to get it working again. I think I have the brine all balanced, not sure about the surfecant, which is why I picked up #2 at WalMart, but at 25 watts it doesn't seem as satisfying.
