Rayos, I will check the base of the lamp tomorrow at work, it may have a manufacturer on it.  I know it is called the Flo-Lamp but the label should say more.

So the only potential manufacturer details on the bottom are Made in China by Kai Han Co. Ltd.

It is just like a mini tornado in the stem, it is soothing when it doesn't make its gear rattle!  Some WD-40 on the drive sprocket has helped to quell the noise. It is hit or miss when turning on, sometimes it rattles pretty vicious while other times it is dead silent.  The people in my office must think I am crazy when I turn it on, it will go off and on a few times as I try to start it up quiet, HAH!
