Four Foot Lava Lamp Tower

This is my four-foot, eight-inch diameter lava lamp tower which holds10 gallons and uses a 250W halogen spotlight. It normally reaches full flow in about 12 hours using just the bulb, but using an 800 watt aquarium heater for 1/2 hour to bring it to 93 degrees, and wrapping the whole lamp in an insulated cover cuts this to about half that.
