It's never too late to learn. The trouble with guitar is everybody plays it, so it's hard to be good.
Why not try pedal steel?

I have tried but my fingers cant make the chords ... so frustrating !!!

Keyboard is tricky too, but good for solo playing.

If you want to be in a band, get a bass. No chords, and they are always in demand. My buddy quit guitar for bass and he's always playing.
