I stumble upon them when looking through tech blogs and random Google searches (on these LED setups at least). ThinkGeek has been a good source for LED madness, I await the release of the 8x8 HypnoCube! Others have taken note of my obsession as this one came to me as a Secret Santa from my sister in-law! (my self proclaimed uncle had also paid me for some web work with a beautiful Coachlight).

If you are looking to snag one Keith, they are exclusively made by ThinkGeek but I am sure Ebay will house some as well. Nice catch on the wave, it did turn out to hold a cool moonlighting effect on the wave ripples! you guys aren't old!

LED does pull some impressive tricks, looking at small displays like this remind of old 8-bit pixel based gaming and video, look at where those are now! Wonder what the future could be with these little fellas!

It took me two and a half minutes to notice the wave machine in the background, but the "moonlight" effect of the supernova on the waves is a really cool bonus!
