That must have been a heart-stopping moment... yes, we've all had them!

...the new display is even better, though, IMO - it shows the CW colours more attractively

and the fireplace image is superb

My Cosmic Window "pryamid" display did not last very long.

I almost accidentally knocked it over the other day which would have been a catastrophe!

It made me realize that stacking them might not be the safest/best idea - lol

My display has been updated :)

Crestworth living jewel  glitter is nice however the bases it is commonly displayed on are not as unique/cool looking as a Cosmic Window base -  IMO

I do like the chrome Jardineres a lot and I personally consider them to be the coolest looking UK glitter lamp unless of coarse your considering a Mathmos Lunar or Crestworth Princess that is using glitter!

I have seen some pretty cool/exotic looking French/Italian glitter lamps before however I have never seen a nice glitter lamp base that creates the same illusion as a Cosmic window base does.

It's mirror like finish makes the glitter appear twice the width than it actually is!

As you probably know, the Cosmic Windows use color stickers so liquid color fading is not a problem for them.

Overheating and permanently ruining the glitter formula is the biggest problem which is why you don't see nice looking vintage Fantasia glitter much anymore :(

Fantasia was forced  to stop making their glitter fluid many years ago because ot the toxic chemicals it uses.

I would have to stack my CW's 4 high and all the way up to the ceiling to add a 10th one on top!

Thinking that might be a little to unstable and not look as good as being the "exact" same height as the lamp next to it ;)

A Colossus lamp is 48 inches ( 4 feet ) tall and a Cosmic Window base is 16 inches tall ( 16 x 3 = 48 )

I really don't expect to be able to find three or even two more Cosmic Windows in the same conditon now, but you never know!

Your Cosmic Windows are glorious, this glitter works better than the (slightly larger) Crestworth Living Jewel glitter, which some might consider to be nearly in the same league (though the four UK colours have all faded)

Btw - if you scored two more CWs, what's the odds you'd want another one -  to complete a perfect pyramid of colour and light?

(and not a wire in sight!)

Of all the lamps that I have owned over the years I think I am the most proud of my Cosmic Window collection!

I consider the Fantasia Cosmic Window to be the "holy grail" of glitter lamps as nothing really compares to it.

It took patience, determination, and a lot of money to obtain these but I am glad I did when I had the chance as Cosmic Windows are super rare and very hard to find now.

I only know of three others that exist and they are owned by two members on this site.

It would be awesome if I could obtain two more which would make my chrome glitter pyramid the same height as my Colossus :)

WOW. All I've ever found was a slightly rusty casing (no top, no electricals, no globe) for a Cosmic Window.

I have owned  my Colossus lamp for approximately 10 years, purchased directly from LL.

It was one of their last in stock, on sale for $750 plus $150 shipping.

The first 4 years it sat dormant due to a broken dimmer switch.

Claude fixed it for me by installing an upgraded dimmer switch and new wiring.

It takes 10 hours to start flowing but when it does the lava flow is immense!
