Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Need info on the wax used in lamps, I have success using original was and replacing the water but when trying to mix and replace wax i have problems.

that is because it is not just paraffin wax, there are emulsifiers and bonding agents in the mix of the goo.

The water is just not distilled water.  There is a ration of water and propylene glycol to get the correct specific gravity
