Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Looking for info on the Executive Lamp - Possible winter recreation project for me.

For some unknown reason I thought about trying to recreate the Executive Lamp as a project this winter. The only one that I know of, after looking through the archives is pictured below. I think Mandysbus is or was the lucky owner.

I think I can get a piece of Walnut and make the base in my shop. I need measurements of the length, width, and height. I also need to know how far the pen holders are spaced from the lamp base.

Then I would need a Consort base. Anyone have a Consort with a broken wood or plastic base? If so let's make a deal. I already have a Consort globe and cap. I hesitate to sacrifice a good one, since they are not a lamp you see everyday. I would then need the pen holders and felt for the bottom. What do you think? Is it a project worth doing? Any help with parts, or useful suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks Bohdan and thanks for looking at the catalog Phil. I now know more about the Executive than I did a few minutes ago. Looks like I'll be on a scavenger hunt for parts now. I will need a Consort base (Broken would be preferred) some Pen holders, the felt and a globe to transplant into the Consort globe. Should be enough to keep me busy for awhile. Stay tuned. :)

here is a pic from the catalog
