I know! Now I want THIS one!
And THIS one too! lol
Wow, tough choice!!! I do like them both, although the one is kind of busy and would have to be placed in just that certain spot or might "clash" with the décor!! At least with your choice, I can see that fitting in with a wider range of rooms and locations!!! But if the other one pictured "fits in" so to speak, that would also be a nice find!!!!
That reminds me of like a lamp that would look nice in a foyer.......
It really is! It is goat skin, but it is much closer to the way a natural skin drum feels, if you've ever handled a native American drum, it feels a lot like that. Henna is what the swirly pattern is painted on with. I had a hard time deciding between this lamp and one of these mosaics. But started thinking, Hmmmm...they only show the mosaic lamps lit up, never in the unlit state. So, I decided there must be a reason for that, so I picked the henna lamp. But dang, these are really pretty too:
That is really different Jus!!! I luv it!! Is the material soft because I would think "henna" or "goat skin" is more on the soft side.
Thanks! Not sure how the changing colors would look with the deep green of this lamp, but there is a neutral colored option that might actually reveal the color change. I did set a candle in mine just to see how it looked, and the illumination was minimal at best.
That is very cool. I ould imagine it would look cool with one of those color changing tea light LED's candle lights.
They are sold everywhere. (Walgreens,Walmart, and hobby store) The above link is for refrence. I have not used that site.
Forgot to mention, they come in several different shapes and quite a few different colors!
Thanks, yall! I love it! Purchased the lamp on Ebay (they're called henna lamps, or goat skin lamps) and I had the stand made by a company with a store on Etsy, InnovativeMetalcraft https://www.etsy.com/shop/InnovativeMetalcraft
They told me a candle is not recommended. I had great results with a battery-operated light, but right now I am using an electric night light socket I happened to have, and it works great too. Here's a pic with the battery-operated light in there: Cool, huh?
That is a sweet piece! Did you make it?
Sweet lamp, guess a tea light candle goes in there? Have to take a pic with it lit up! Love it! ;)
