ID CALL THE GREEN ONE ALIENS,NICE JOB JOANNE,HOPE TO SHOW U MY PICS SOON,THANKS HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO U AND YOURS,SAFE AND WARM IN THE COMFORTS OF HOME ARE SOMETIMES THE BEST,CATCH U LATER.
its running on a 100 . i balanced it a little heavy on the wax so it has to run HOT to move . I am putting it on a dimmer switch tomorrow so i will make the liquid a little denser so the wax floats easier . But this is a freaky animal , not the normal bloob or stringy flow . Its all over the place ! NOT boring lol
Do you run that with a 100w bulb, or can it run on a smaller wattage bulb?
Thanks Keith ! It was a fun one !
Gorgeous!
I not about keeping my technique secret or dont tell anyone ! I am even easily talked into making stuff for friends if they pay for supplies . lol
SO here it is in a nut shell people -
Its part transplant and part made up. I used the yellow wax from those elusive ( haha yes sarcasm ) blue / yellow china lamps !!! enough for a grande. I used forrest green wax candle dye ( the kind that is wax hyper dyed and you gotta break up) and some liquid blue candle dye . and 2 silver sharpies , also i added about an 1/8 of a cup of PERC . then for the liquid i used surfactant i got off the internet ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/260672864661?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_... ) didnt need much at all! and lots of pickling salt dissolved in boiling water . I could put more sharpie in it but I didnt want to 'wash out ' the wonderful Christmas Tree green lol .
Oh nice! sharpie technique?
Can you tell me all about this lava, please? It's incredible!
