I had bought just the base and cap on eBay. I used custom oil dye (Coffee color) to achieve a brown lava to match the character of the lamp.

So ive had problems with all my goo kits fading and losing color almost right away , you said custom oil die ?
Can it be any oil based die or ?? Ive heard sharpie metallic sliver works for the sliver but never heard anything about color ? Any thoughts ? Cool lamp !! And they did make a brown colored lamp as well great match job !!
