As far as I can gather this lamp was an original employee special red anodised version.
The vase is a Mathmos red metallic bottle.

what I'd like to know about the base, is it custom anodising job or one of Mathmos Facebook Giveaways  for Christmas, they had some truly exceptional finishes, and what about the goo? custom or ...?

Gorgeous. If I ever saw an orange version of this...not amber...not copper, but a true, solid orange...I think I would sell my soul for it.
