Hot solvents are hard on glitter and dyes. Running them for short periods of time is the way to go.
Will we ever again see the craftsmanship in fiber and glitter represented by the incredible line of Fantasia products? Not likely. Glass fibers and solvents are too much of a liability these days.
This makes your collection rare and an important preservation of a great American company. Thank you for sharing it.
I am very happy that I spent the money and effort to obtain my Cosmic Windows when I did as they are very, very, very hard to find now, especially in this condition.
6 of my glitter bottles are near mint, as I have been their only owner.
I managed to purchase 4 regular NOS Fantasia glitter lamps on Ebay several years ago and 2 of my Cosmic Windows were NOS.
It was awesome being able to peel of the vinyl protective layer that covers a MINT Fantasia Cosmic window. ( quite expensive however )
To keep my Windows looking their best I never run them for more than 2 hours at any time.
If vintage Fantasia glitter is run for too long both it's shiny appearance and quick flow will suffer and it will never be the same again.
Love those Italians! So creative and different.
But man, I'm seriously coveting your Cosmic Windows.
I once saw one of these Italian fiber optic lamps pop up on Ebay-USA about 5 years ago.
It came on late at night with a BIN of $500 + $50 shipping.
As I was determining if I should purchase it , someone else did!
I always regretted not buying that lamp until recently.
I recently made friends with a serious collector in Germany who also has an Uncle who collects filer optic lamps in Italy.
I help them get lamps from the USA and they help me obtain exotic European lamps for my collection.
These Italian lamps do not have rotating sprays but they do change colors rapidly and their reflection can be seen in their shiny mirror like saucer sections.
Here is another cool chrome fiber optic lamp I recently acquired from Germany - ( lamp on left )
This is the next lamp I will be purchasing-
I have several International fiber optic lamps in my collection but not a single one from the UK!
I still need to find a Crestworth Snowflake like yours -

I like this German lamp of yours as well - ( does it have a rotating spray? )
