KittenChops replied to Michael Strong's discussion US converted Mathmos Astro not heating hot enough
"You need to get a transformer that steps up your voltage from 120v to at least 220v. Mathmos is from Britain. Their household wiring is 220v. Our household wiring in the US is only 120v. Your only getting half power without a step up transformer."

KittenChops replied to Simon Lloyd's discussion Wax not flowing ... using Propylene Glycol
"You will be surprised how much you will need to use. It will be much more than just a few drops. Keep adding little by little with the lamp on until you get the flow that you desire. Remember to keep an ample amount of space at the top of the globe…"

KittenChops replied to Autumn's discussion The lava still flows (Colossus Gookit)
"Did you use Propylene Glycol when you redid this lamp? If not you almost need to. Especially with the big lamps. Gookits on their own do not provide proper flow. You need to add a liquid density agent like PG. Good luck."

KittenChops replied to Benjamin Terracina's discussion MAGMA TOWER GOO IS NO GO?
"Propylene Glycol does the trick. I had the same problem with my first restoration. Magma Tower really needs to let buyers know that their kits do not flow properly on their own. You need to add a liquid density agent like PG. You will also be…"
