52oz globe, MT wax, and 4 silver Sharpies. The globe is obviously crap, but I'm happy with the way the color turned out.

how did you make the metallic lava. belinda
Thanks :)
I squeezed the ink out, and used a metal rod to gently stir it into the wax, as the blobs came up to the top
Haven't kitted in awhile rax!!! Now you have me wanting to try something cool!!!! lol!!! Don't know what the bottle looks like irl, but it doesn't look too bad in the pic. I have some way worse then that. I always worry about transplants when I get something running nicely though. Always afraid a different home will produce different flow. I luv my 52 oz flow on my green and fortunately every time I've taken it down due to the fogging on the inside of the globe it retained it's flow patterns. Don't know about a different globe though. My green is in a USA globe that I got from a member on OG. Pretty mint condition.
Good job!
yeah, I think I'm going to transplant the wax to a better bottle. It came out better than expected. I thought the silver would end up seperating like the bronze did, but it seems to be holding.
Oh, yeah, I hate those crap globes, but the wax looks awesome!!! At least it is a lighter wax color so as not to show up the imperfections in the globe too bad!!! Try one of those bad globes with a dark wax and it looks awful...ya know though, my hubbie actually doesn't mind those starry imperfections! He says it adds to the look of the lamp....
