My New Custom

I made this yesterday.  I almost blinded myself cleaning the globe out with lye.  I will never use lye again. Anyway, I like the wispy nature of it.  Makes me think of a fortune telling ball or something magical. I don't really like the orange.  I'll try blue next time I think.  See More

Hey, two ways I have tried and I think most people here are choosing are:1) pouring the liquid (cold) into a the bottle of choice and pouring the molten wax into a a container of choice, then cut the wax into pieces and drop them into the cold liquid. done.
2) (which is how I always do it) Pour liquid into the desired bottle while cold (I live in germany which means its usually not as hot as in the states for example, depending on where you live you might wanne cool the liquid down to about 15 degrees celsius) then pour hot wax directly into the liquid while keeping a steady uniform flow from beginning to end so the wax only hits the fluid and not the glass. in case some wax did come in contact with the glass anyway pour some very hot water (I use water right below boiling point and pre heat the bottle with hot tap water sonit doesnt crack) ovet the bottle and it will get come off). Put the bottle which probly looks like a mess now on a base and run it and it will accumulate again and look almost like before. there are probly be many small bubbles of fluid in the wax but they will disappear completely after two or three runs. now done

Welcome to Oozing Goo

Have you got the lava collecting bug yet? It's very addictive.
